Cutline
Last updated: 30.08.2026
Cutline (“the App”) projects PDF and SVG sewing patterns onto a cutting table at true physical scale. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses, how it is handled, and the limited third-party services involved when you use the App.
The App does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number for its own use.
The App does not collect:
The App does not include advertising SDKs and shows no ads.
You open pattern files (PDF or SVG) from Files, iCloud Drive, or wherever you bought them. When you open one, the App takes its own copy into the project on your device. All processing — reading the pages, selecting a size layer, laying out tiles, masking pieces, changing line weight and colour — happens entirely on your device.
Your pattern files are never uploaded to us or to any third party. The App does not operate its own servers or databases that store your patterns.
The App renders the projected image to a connected external display (your projector). Nothing about what you project is recorded or transmitted off your device.
When you choose to print or export a pattern, the file is handed to iOS — to AirPrint, or to the destination you pick in the share sheet. What happens to it afterwards is governed by the printer, app, or service you selected, not by us.
Projects, calibration settings, imported pattern copies, tile layouts, cut marks, display preferences, and tutorial progress are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, these files may be included in your device backup under Apple’s terms.
To understand how the App is used and to find crashes, the App uses Google Firebase:
These services use an app-generated, per-installation identifier (an anonymous identifier derived from Apple’s vendor identifier, plus a Firebase installation ID). This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID, and it is not your advertising identifier. It is used to count installations and group events from the same installation, not to identify you personally.
The contents of your patterns are never sent to these services. Analytics events describe actions, not the files you opened.

The App offers an optional paid subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; the App never sees your payment details.
To present the paywall, manage subscription entitlements, and restore purchases, the App uses Adapty, a third-party subscription service. Adapty processes purchase and transaction information together with an anonymous app-generated identifier to determine whether your subscription is active. It does not receive your name or email address from the App. The anonymous analytics installation identifier described above is linked to the Adapty profile so that a purchase can be matched to the same installation in our analytics.
With your permission, the App may send push notifications — for example about new features or tutorials. Delivery uses Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging, which involves a device push token that is not tied to your identity. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings, and the App works fully without them.
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
Because your patterns and projects never leave your device, there is no associated risk of an external breach of that content through us. Analytics, subscription, and payment data are handled by Google, Adapty, and Apple under their respective policies and are transmitted over encrypted connections.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
